Is College Chemistry and Biology hard?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I start my classes in January. I have Chem, Bio, Bio Lab, Eng and Math. My biggest worry is the Chem. Some say it's hard and others say it's pretty easy. Also in your experience, was Biology hard?

It's been a while since I've studied Bio and Chem !

Thanks.

Hi,

Your initial response that you got from your friends, I assume, was right. Some say chem is hard, while others say it is rather easy. As you can see, it is all subjective. Do not quote me on this but I doubt there is any data on which class is easiest or hardest. You have to look into yourself. Figure out if you have an aptitude toward sciences. To me personally, chemistry was not hard, nor was it that easy. I would say though, as long as you put a lot of effort into it, devote enough time to study the material, I am sure you will be fine in any subject.

If you're generally good at science, chemistry and biology might not be so hard for you. Honestly, in high school, I thought I was really good at science since I would get A's in all classes easily. College chemistry is on a whole other level in my opinion. Thus far, college chemistry and microbiology have been the hardest classes I have ever taken. Biology was pretty easy, I took it twice, once in person and once online.

It's really subjective. I found biology easy, and chemistry something I really had to work out. My siblings and friends have had different experience. Some found one easy, some found both easy, and some struggled with both.

Yup, that's what I feel for myself. The Chem and Microbio will be the hardest for me. I believe the Bio itself will be easier compared to the Chem. I could be wrong, but I have to buckle down and study!!! TY for your reply.
