How do they calculate Teas Scores.

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi, I am new to the forum and have a question about the Teas test. I purchased and studied the Kaplan Nursing entrance exam book and have taken their practice tests at the end of the book. I was wondering how they calculate the teas scores. if i got a 66/75 on my math section would it come out to be 88% on the math or do they do extra calculations. Also I was wondering how to compute the overall teas score. Hope I was clear enough. Thanks!

P.S I am doing poorly on the vocab, anyone have any suggestions on how i can improve it? I ended up with a 35/65 on my first practice test for it.

I don't know exactly how they grade the TEAS, but I do know that somewhere in the calculation is graded agaisnt the difficulty of questions selected for your particular exam. I don't believe it changes the % for that particular section by much, but it is a factor.

Cool, Thank you :]. I actually took the test this morning and it was a lot easier than what the study guides were asking, and the science section was so strange it was asking the most random questions. Anyway I got a 87% overall grade so I was delighted, and was able to see the calculations and such after my test.
