Hi, I am looking for some guidance as to what university/college I should attend for BSN

I am currently in highschool. I'm in grade 12, 16 years old. The reason being as why I'm so young is because I advanced a grade, and am graduating early (2018). I live in Chilliwack, BC. I'm interested in going to UFV for the BSN program, as I want to become a registered nurse. I have A's in chem 11, bio 12, and English 12, and a B in pre calc 11. I feel as if this isn't enough for me to get into the program. I'm also interested in KPU, and BCIT. Are colleges such as Vancouver community college just as good? Help! Thanks in advance

I am not familiar with Canadian schools, but I can tell you this...

The first thing you need to know are the authorized accrediting agencies for nursing programs in Canada. Once you do that, log on to their websites, they must have a list of schools that have been accredited by them. This ensures their programs have gone through rigorous screening process to ensure they are of quality. Having said that, governmental institutions (schools/universities) are a sure bet they have those accreditations. Private schools may not... but then... that is how it is in the USA; Canada might be different.

I encourage you to not only identify the accreditation agency/ies, but research the school's website. Also, visiting a campus (with a friend in your case -due to your age) to ask questions to current nursing students would help you gain insight on the institution. Ask them about the curriculum, their clinical experiences, their professors, and Nursing Director. How do they like it? Do they recommend it? What do they wish it was different, if anything? People will have different opinions depending on their experience, but the more people you ask, you should get a clearer picture of how it is really like.
