Environmental Biology In 4 Weeks?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Has anyone taken biology during the summer? How did you do? The summers at my school are broken down into two terms and are 4 weeks long and my class is from May 20-June 20. Is it smart to take biology during a 4 week course?

Any input will be greatly appreciated :)

In my opinion you should have a good bio base to succeed (did you take it in HS?). Are you taking it to be able to take micro? Some schools require bio for micro and some don't. As far as branches of bio go why are you taking environmental bio as opposed to a standard course in over all bio? Having taken chemistry also helps.

I took bio but it was bio 1 and covered bio, not any one branch. I took it as a quarter course and it wasn't easy. It does prepare you for micro. You're the only one who knows if you can handle the course work.

Good luck :)

Is Environmental Bio what you need? Usually it is Cell Bio for the nursing curriculum, and Cell Biology was a lot of work!

Environmental Bio is what's required for my school's nursing program. And yes, I have to take it before I take micro. I have no clue why it's environmental bio opposed to an overall bio course. (I took bio in high school but that was like 9th grade & I remember nothing at all except I got a B)

I'm completing Chem 1152 now, finished 1151 last semester and have an A in both. I know I can handle the work, it's just the fact that it's only 4 weeks that has me wondering. Lol. Thanks for the responses!
