Avoid Savannah Technical College

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am currently attending Savannah Tech to fill my pre-req's for an ADN nursing program in Brunswick, Ga. All of the science classes that I need are taught by the same person. We had taken about 3-4 tests before we even received the first result back. We have a ten week quarter here, actual time spent in the classroom for this quarter in A&P I class was seven weeks. This is due to the instructor being ill and holidays. The instructor assured us that we would be graded only on what we had been tested on. To use our study guides from each lecture test since it is a comprehensive test. I have taken the final today and behold....there were alot of questions that were not on our other tests. I am hoping that I can miraculously make an 80 on the final to get an A. After the entire semester gone I overheard several students saying that she has been out for several weeks, on other quarters and did so at her previous school as well. I am recommending that EVERYONE should try other schools before attending STC for science pre-reqs. The pain and frustration is immense....make this your last selection. I am only attending the next quarter because , the books were $240.00 for A&P. We get to use the same books in A&P II.

I think I'd swallow the cost of the text and go somewhere else. Also- you may be able to get away with using the same book anywhere you go, since most of them have the same information.. good luck next quarter.

Hello guys. I have taken a total of 4 sciences from that instructor as well. Even though she did miss a lot of classes, I still got A's in all of them. You can't expect her to go over everything. This is college not high school. If you were to go to a big university such as UGA the professors do not go over every chapter, Anyway She's a very good instructor who knows her stuff. To address about having problems at the other colleges. the staff at those school were giving grades and Dr. Saripilla doesn't give grades at all. You work for them and work hard.
