Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

ok so here is the delio. i am a veteran of the usmc so ive got the g.i. bill. i am not worried about only taking parttime if i need to in order to succeed. if i am taking a/p 1 and chemistry 150 should i just take thise two classes in the fall and only those two?? i want to do very good in both these classes. i work a part time job 3 to 4 days a week. i can chose to work 3 or 4 so should i work 3 or 4. ive made the decision to live at my parents until i am finished. (im 24, sad but will save loads of money and be able to focus more) what is your advice on what i should do? idc if it will take a bit to knock out these pre reqs. THANK YOU!!!

Since full-time and part-time use the same number of months on the GI Bill, have you considered doing the A&P and Chem and perhaps knocking out some other classes that you consider less challenging? Some schools have additional pre-and co-reqs such as humanities, nutrition, or psychology that require less time than a science course might.

We really can't answer this for you. What a person can handle depends on their personal strengths, weaknesses, life situations, and the often the professor for that particular class.

It also depends on the nursing school you're planning to go to. How much do grades matter for admissions? Is a bare minimum acceptable, or is it worth the extra time to do as well as you possibly can in each class? (Not that I'd suggest scraping by with a bare minimum. Put in the effort - A&P really is the basis of nursing school. But I understand reality)

Have math and science classes you've taken in the past come easily to you, or do you struggle with them? Have you taken high school level chemistry? How did it go?

You'll have an easier time in A&P (especially the P) if you do chemistry first. If you have any doubts, or haven't taken chemistry in the past, I'd really encourage taking the extra time to do it that way.

I combined my hard pre-reqs with easy online courses. A and P is very challenging. Chem and Micro were easier IMO.

im 4 years out of school and just started summer semeseter doing developmental psych. doing very good. the only classes i need now are the sciences i knocked out almost all my gen ed before joining so i have no point in taking other classes. i have decided to just do the science classes by themselves! im going to buy the books for my fall classes now so i can start studying
