Nursing Students NP Students

Published

Hi,

I am applying to the University of Indiana's ACNP program for Fall 2014. I have been a nurse going on 4 years and in the ICU for a year and a half.

I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding the admission process. Specifically the entrance essay (what to highlight) and the resume. I recently updated my resume and would love some critique on it, if anyone is interested.

Thanks!

Congrats to those that got in. I got a rejection letter. I spoke with Dr Hall to see what I could have improved on and she basically told me that there was an enormous amount of applicants and they accepted way more than normal and only have so many full time staff members to handle all the new students. I think they are counting on many of those accepted going elsewhere. It was a first come first serve. She hopes to build the program and eventually hire more full time staff. I am bummed that I didn't get in there as it was my first choice. I have been accepted into others but was really looking forward to USI.

Hi Rajan2, please free your inbox' I have been trying to pm you but it won't go because it is full. I need your advice, input of info about the program, I start in the fall please.

Hello,

I know this thread in a few years old, but I figured those in this feed have graduated the FNP program at USI by now and would give their feedback on the program. How challenging did you find the program? Is it doable working full time with children in school? Do the professors care about you? Any other info you'd like to share would be appreciated.
