Advice needed

Nursing Students NP Students

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone out there could send out some general information about Nurse Practitioner programs and the work available to individuals with this degree. Website links, advice, personal experiences - all are welcome.

I have recently been thinking about pursuing an NP degree, and really need some good direction. I am interested in Texan Women's University and Chamberlain School of Nursing, and have looked a little into these. I'm a little confused about the master degree/ NP. Any input on these two schools as to tuition, reputation, and how well the programs will prepare me?

This is my first post, so by way of introducing myself -

I love allnurses.com and I enjoy reading the thoughtful posts and threads.

My intention is to begin nursing school this fall, and my career goal is to become a missionary nurse/nurse practitioner to countries such as Honduras and Nicaragua I'm sending this post with a prayer and a big thanks in advance for any input!!

I attend Texas Woman's University & LOVE IT. They have one of the best reputations in Texas for nursing/medical field education. All of the staff have been so kind & helpful, you really feel more like just just another person. The school is smaller also so you don't get lost in the sea of people, not to mention a lower student to faculty ratio.
