Western University MSN-E 2018

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

I haven't seen any forums about the upcoming application for next year's MSN-E program so I thought I'd start! I have a degree from University of Oregon in Human Physiology with experience as a Medical Scribe and in a variety of PT and Chiropractic settings! (Switched from PT/Kinesiology to Nursing!) I'm interested in the FNP track and am really excited about Western. Feel free to post any questions/stats/etc and join me in freaking out over apps! Are any of you attending any of the upcoming information sessions as well?

Congratulations! Is it their program in Orange county or at the actual campus?

Thank you! I will be attending the OC location! :)

OC location? I think you're confusing this for West Coast University. This is the thread for Western University of Health sciences, which is located in Pomona.

USF has a branch in OC for the E-MSN program. I also applied for Western University. I just meant to update everyone that I will not be moving forward with WesternU since I committed to USF already. Just wanted to wish everyone good luck on this thread :)

They're referring to the USF program she got admitted to. That one is located in OC.

Congrats!

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum. I also applied to the MSN-E program at Western for Fall 2018. I too received an email stating that my application is still with the committee. I actually received two of those email as I applied all the way back in early September. I have an interview at APU but I haven't heard back from any other California schools. Starting to get a little nervous....

Hi guys! I applied to WesternU last year and this year but was granted admission to USF's program and accepted my seat there! I interviewed last year at WesternU and didn't hear from them until January, a week before my interview day. I wasn't accepted, of course, but my advice to you for interview day would be to develop well-articulated answers to a variety of possible situational questions. Make sure you know exactly why you want to be a nurse and have a well thought out answer! Also, have some great questions to ask for panel for afterwards!

Cheers and good luck to everyone!

Which campus were you accepted into?

Orange County!

I emailed the admissions counselor and he informed me that decisions have not been made on any application as of yet. Once they receive decisions from the admissions committee, they will begin to send them out. Early decision opportunities will be held in January.

Has anyone heard yet about invites for the early acceptance opportunity? I read on a previous year's thread that past cohort's got invites around Dec.15.

I haven't heard anything back yet

Okay. Thanks for your response. I haven't heard anyone talk about invites yet.
