Published Jul 6, 2012
I didn't see a thread, so I started one.
I am planning on applying this fall for the Direct Entry MSN program. Anyone else?

Not me...
but for the rest of us, I spoke with a counselor (can't name names on allnurses)
and she confirmed that interviews will be conducted all throughout the month and they will keep notifying individuals the week before an interview date.
So there is definitely hope, as the previous cohort also confirmed on here.
Best wishes :)

I stumbled upon this quote and thought it fit our situation perfectly: "You will get there when you're meant to get there and not one moment sooner...so relax, breathe, and be patient."
We will become nurses (or NP's, or whatever we want to become!) no matter what path we take! Just breathe and know we will get there when we're supposed to. :)

Exactly BlueEyes85, and that is something we often forget in this process whether it be nursing, undergrad, etc. Thank you for a great reminder!

Just to clarify. WesternU's pre-licensure is only 16 months. I started in Fall 2012, and will be taking the nclex December 2013. Then getting a RN job and doing the FNP part of schooling!
And there will definitely be more interview weekends. There was at least 6 weeks of interviews last year.
And if you haven't had a follow up email since your original interview email, you will get one soon. They haven't forgotten about you.
Good luck :) Western's a great school

Thank you once again sonjaxlove! :)

And in regards to deadlines a few posts above, I submitted mine the last day it was due (even after last years extension). They really do consider your entire application as long as its by the deadline.
Congrats to those getting interviews! Make the most out of the time they allow you to talk! They're really interested and engaged in what you have to say in your interview.
