UT Alternate Entry MSN Summer 2011

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Did anyone else here apply for the Summer 2011 cohort? :)

So where is everyone staying at for housing? I know that school starts (well, orientation, rather) on May 31st, so we'd have to find housing for the summer, right?

Oh, and I have a question about compliance. Did anyone actually get an email yet regarding fingerprinting for the Texas Board of Nursing Background Check?

The info is here:

I didn't...

I think were all still waiting....did you join the Facebook group for admits?

Okay then. I'll work on getting all the other stuff done for the compliance in the meantime. I don't have FB so nope, not joining it, lol.

i had to activate my old FB to join, then when I did it was not really anything too interesting lol. Im not much of a FBer. Everyone just getting together to take CPR and such. Im good...

Does anyone here know what the tuition estimate is supposed to be for the summer? We're all just taking 4 credits, right?

They changed the summer schedule... It's this one (9 hrs). http://www.utexas.edu/nursing/docs/ae_foundation_program.pdf

Also you can get a table that tells you for 9 hours in the graduate school of nursing is about 3,740 dollars. ;) I emailed it to your gmail

You're the best! :D

Okay, on the Compliance page, does anyone know how we're supposed to do the "Environment of Care Exam"? I clicked on the Seton link but realized I can't take this test because we don't have any manual or info given to us beforehand to take the actual test.

You take it based on your knowledge and if you answer wrong it gives you the rationale to choose the right answer. It's very easy. Just takes FOREVER! Make sure you fill out the questionnaire at the end or you may have to redo it.

Ohh alright. Some of the questions were weird though - like, it asked for the phone number to the Biomed Department, and I was like, "What is that?"

I'll have to sit through it today and just get it over with :p

I'm nearly done with all the compliance stuff, but it's been so expensive already! $45 here, $45 there... :/

Anyway, have you figured out where you're staying in Austin?

I've been looking up apartments on Craigslist, and I might see if I can visit some on the weekend and possibly put down a deposit. It's very very likely I'll bring a car, also, but I'm not sure where the Graduate Nursing Students usually end up parking on campus, though.

Is this thread dead? lol
