Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hello all...I've searched through and found that some of you have or are currently in the RODP program for FNP through Tennessee...can anyone update me on this? Do you like it? Would you recommend it/do it again? Im hoping to get my home school of MTSU...also for those of you that know..do you have to have some classes such as adv pharm and assessment done first? I can't get definitive answers through the website..Thanks so much!

Call the school of nursing and ask when they meet again.

I am a current RODP student and am actually the student rep. on the RODP board. If anyone would like information, please feel free to email me. I am about to graduate and can very much give you any information you need. [email protected]

Thank you!

Do either of you know when the summer semester starts? I still haven't rechecked an admission decision and I'm getting nervous! Are you all going part time or full time?

Summer starts June 6 I believe and I will be doing part time for summer then full come fall. Good luck!

I finally got in touch with the department about my application and they met last week to review...I've not heard anything and my status still says "referred to grad major committee" and that the committee reply is not received. I am freaking out that this means I didn't get accepted! School starts in 3 weeks and I still have no idea....how long did it take for you all to get an answer? Thanks!

I am transferring out of the rodp program because as an out of state student I am not going to be able to complete clinicals due to the rodp instructors not being licensed in my state. Make sure you are able to complete clinicals in your state. Contact the BON. If you are in a compact state, you should be fine.

I got in! Now to try and figure out if ill go part time or full time and which classes to take. Where are you all located? I'd love to find some study buddies/fellow sufferers :) So excited!

I'm in northeast TN by the way

I am doing the minimum amount necessary to get financial aid each semester lol. I start this summer. Just taking Theory.

Theory is the only class I am taking this summer as well until I can get all my funding set up. Can't wait to get it started!

Me too!

I think I'll do theory and research....I really want to get research done while I'm still enthusiastic :)
