Northeastern??

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

:nuke: Is there anyone on here who has been admitted to the direct-entry nursing program at Northeastern or is currently in the program? I have finally sent my letter back confirming acceptance of my space. I am very excited not only to be moving to Boston but getting so close to what I have worked so hard for the last few years doing prereqs.

Does anyone know when the term begins? Has anyone received any info about what we need? All I received was a thin envelope with a letter stating I was accepted and another letter to send back noting my acceptance. Thankfully I learned on here that a thin envelope didn't mean you were rejected so my heart wasn't in my throat when I opened the envelope. Any info about the program would be appreciated. Congrats to everyone else.:nuke:

I am still waiting to hear from Northeastern! When did you get your letter? I interviewed on Feb 17th, what about you?

Did you apply to any other schools?

Hey nurse-to-be1000,

I've been accepted into Northeastern's Direct Entry nursing program and plan to attend this fall as well. Have you received anything since last posting? I've been trying to do some research because I've heard that Northeastern's NCLEX pass rate isn't that great. Have you heard any information about Northeastern, because up until recently I thought it was an excellent school.

I received some housing info and a link to visit but I am having technical problems. I am enrolled but the tech guys can't find me and said I might have to stop by, not easily done. Where do you live? If you want, feel free to pm me. I received a letter outlining where to rent/look for rentals and where to buy things on the cheap. I guess we get the rest of the info at orientation the day before classes at the beginning of September. I would like to know what to buy ahead of time if I can find it on sale like books. I am also interested in knowing if NEU requires students to wear white shoes since I am having a terrible time finding any in my size (I wear a women's 4 or children's 2.5). I have found some shoes meant for nursing but they don't come in white. Even my favorite Dansco clogs don't come small enough to be able to get them in white. Also, any uniform I buy will need to be mended since I am short.

In regard to your note on Northeastern's NCLEX rate, I have just done a little research on the net and you will be very happy to hear that 100% of NEU's Direct Entry class received a 100% pass rate.
