GRE scores and sending them to schools

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hello!

So, my GRE date is in a few days. I have not studied as much as I would have liked, but we'll see how it goes. Anyway, what information about the grad school do you need to put down for the scores to be sent?

I know you need the school code....what else though? Thanks in advance!!!!

You need the school code and most schools also have a department code specifically for nursing. Just check the website of each school you're applying to; on their 'admissions requirement' page where they say that you need to take the GRE, it should give you the exact codes you're looking for.

Thank you! I have the code. I am actually applying for an MPH. Love public health. But, thank you so much. I didn't know if I needed just that or if I needed the schools address as well.

So, I took my test this morning. I didn't do extremely bad, but I was not stellar either. I got a 147 on one area and a 151 on the other. I don't remember which was which though. It was the new test, by the way. It goes from 130-170 in scoring.

I don't know if I will get into the school I am planning to apply to or not. Any thoughts?

I had gotten similar scores (148/150) on my GRE and got accepted to a program that required "competitive" scores which they defined as 150. I was really worried being right on the line (and maybe 5 rejection letters didn't help either...) and with a lower writing score, but it worked out in the end.

Hope this helps a bit!

Glad you got it done!!! They changed the scoring system since I took it in 2004, so I'm of no help....but, woo hoo!!! GRE done!
