Default Re: chest tube drainage types
Serous fluid is clear, straw colour to almost orange. Serosang is a mixture of serous fluid and blood. Chest tube drainage can also be cloudy, which suggests a chylothorax or lymph leaking into the pleural space. This fluid will contain lots of WBCs and a high triglyceride level.
