UPMC MERCY School of Nursing Class of '14

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hello,

Was anyone accepted into the UPMC Mercy School of Nursing Class of '14 which is starting in August of 2012? I was and I was looking forward to meeting other who have been as well!

I am so nervous! I sent out my application on Wednesday. I'm hoping I didn't submit it too late. Has anyone else applied in March or April and heard back yet??

Took my PSB test today. So stressed out about it!! The proctor was confusing, at the beginning she told the group that you were better off making an educated guess than leaving it blank, but at the end said that you are only scored on the questions you answered, and no points are deducted for not finishing. Can anyone clarify this for me? I wasn't able to finish the first section (verbal/math) or the reading comprehension part!

They mean that you don't lose points for incorrect answers, but you are supposed to answer every question.

i wasn't able to finish both of those parts also. just don't let it bother you. you probably did fine. waiting does suck though, believe me! :uhoh21:

good luck! :D

waiting is the worst!! i thought i felt stressed/worried before the test, it didn't even compare to after!! i'm glad you answered though, i definitely was concerned when she told us to guess if we didn't know the answer. they said 1-2 weeks for results.

When they said 1-2 weeks, I thought they were kidding. NOPE, they really take that long (about 2 weeks, business days). Lol. And it feels like eternity waiting. I was practically stalking my mailman.

hooray!

congratulations!

This is kinda late but...I was also accepted into the class of 2014!!! I'm originally from Pittsburgh, but I had to move to Maryland 5 years ago when my mom died. I'm sooooo excited to be moving back home and starting nursing school! Can't wait to meet all of you! (BTW I think a study group is a great idea!)

That's great! I wonder how big our class is going to be if they're still accepting applications....lol. Can't wait to meet you all on 6/25!

My sister graduated from Mercy in 2011 and she said this year our class is going to be around 150 :)
