Question about applying to CCP's nursing program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

I'm currently in high school and I'm very intrested in the nursing program at community college of philadelphia. The whole application process seems so difficult. I was wondering if anyone knew when they are gonna start accepting applications for the nursing program. And does anyone know where I can get an application from because I rather hand in a application rather then do an online one. Please and thank you :D

I recommend going to an application orientation session. The sessions were mandatory if one was applying as a current CCP student, I'm not sure about whether they are for high school applicants, but it was really helpful in explaining the process.

As a CCP student, I had to take Bio 106 and complete the Allied Health Test. Admissions was based on my score on the test, my GPA at CCP, and whether or not I'd dropped or failed any classes.

Do you know when the application oreintation will be?

The dates change from year to year, so you will need to contact them directly.

I plan on applying directly at the school. Will they have an application there for me or do i have to print one out or something? I'm sorry for all the questions but it just seems like theres alot to do when it comes to applying for the nursing programs, so many things to do.

The application process works differently for current CCP students versus high school grads. My application was a small slip of paper requesting a change in major. Look over the links- theres more information there than what I remember from my application process, and contact the department if you have more questions. They'll have the most up to date info.

did they calculate your bio 106 score into your gpa and how do they do that if you took it in high school?
