I'll be graduating in December with a BSN and I currently work as a nurse extern in an ICU/step down unit. So my question is, I really want to work at penn medicine but I dont know when to apply for the residency program/gateway or the clinical I position, to those that went through the residency program, did you guys apply before graduation or was it after passing the Nclex.

I know it is not easy to get a job as new grad at penn but I just want to know when to apply

Usually they have creating dates; for example when I was applying they usually had starting dates in July and in January or March, and most of the Deadlines were in March or September; I remember the timelines to be short, and it would be immediately up for two weeks, then it would be gone.

If you already work there, reach out HR and management so that they can consider you when the dates come up.

I work at christiana in Delaware. So am trying to get a job in Penn, thats why I want to be prepared before the time comes to apply for the Job

I would keep searching for CN I jobs on Penn Medicine; create an account and put a search alert; also if there are any job fairs where they are going to be there, I would try to go there and place a resume in hand; that's how I got to know the HR team, as well got a position within the system (non-gateway position)
