Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania Accepting Scholarship Applications

The Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania (NFP), a supporting organization of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA), is accepting applications for the following scholarships:

  • Florence (Madden) Grady-Fasick Scholarship Fund: Mrs. Florence (Flo) Grady-Fasick generously established a named fund at the NFP to benefit nursing education. Funds are for nursing students in their second semester or more of nursing school.
  • Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania Future Nurse Leader Scholarship: This fund provides scholarships to students demonstrating leadership skills in their pursuit of a nursing degree. Funds are for full-time nursing students in an accredited BSN program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Jack E. Barger, Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund: This scholarship fund, administered on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), was established by the Department of Pennsylvania VFW in memory of the late Jack E. Barger, Sr., Department Commander. Scholarships are awarded to nursing students who meet the following criteria:(1)Recipient must be at least one of the following: active duty service member, U.S. veteran, or child/spouse of a veteran or active duty service member; (2) Recipient must be a resident of Pennsylvania; and (3) Recipient must be an undergraduate student.
  • Alumni Association Scholarship Fund of the Former AEMC Nursing School of Philadelphia: This fund exists to provide scholarships to students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree, whether baccalaureate, graduate, or post-graduate.
