Is St Joe's (Reading) likely to hire new grads?

Im about halfway through NS and I am thinking about where to apply when i graduate. I recently got a call to interview at St. Joe's for a nurses aide job in the CCU. I really hope to get it because I am interested in critical care, and I am hoping this will help get my foot in the door. I am currently in a diploma program (not reading). So, are they likely to hire new grads, and will working there before i graduate make it more likely for them to hire me? and are they likely to hire diploma grads or are they moving towards BSNs?

any info on St. Joe's would be helpful! thanks!

Specializes in Mixed ICU, OHU.

Call the recruiter in HR. they will be able to give you more insight. Im pretty sure they do not hire grads into CCU unless they did a GN internship in ICU, however it may be different if you already work there.

Good luck!
