Abington - Dixon School of Nursing

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I'm starting AMH - Dixon School of Nursing this August and I'm wondering if there are others who are in the program or are starting this fall as well.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

Hi everyone, I am doing my prereqs for nursing school and considering either Abington Dixon school evening/ weekend program, montco, or Gwynedd Mercy. It's really hard for me to decide but I wanted to know from those of you who were accepted to Abington, How good of grades did you have? If I go to Montco I will be done a year sooner but it seems like Abington has a great program. Did anyone else decide between these schools as well? Any input would be great. Thanks:bugeyes:

Specializes in NICU, Level IV.

For my pre-reqs, I had a 3.4 overall but a 3.8 on my pre-reqs themselves.

Hope this helps!

I have a question for those that took pre-req's @ montco...why didn't u attend the nursing program there...is it much harder to get in there?

hi, I am wondering if anyone has started out in either montco nursing and transfered to Dixon or vice versa( the clinical part). I really would like to be able to compare the amount of clinical and overall satisfaction of each institution. Montco is able to be completed faster than Abington and does not have a night/ weekend option but that is all I have to compare. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

I was accepted to Abintgon DSON for fall 2009. I took my pre-reqs at Montco, but since I plan on working full-time through nursing school, I needed the night/weekend option. In addition, Abington's campus is 1 mile from my house and my job.

I assume everyone has their own reasons for the school they eventually select. As far as I know, Montco's program is neither inferior nor harder to get in to than Abington. In fact, I would say it is the other way around! :)
