FT Techs: What are the most popular and least popular days of the week to work?

So I recently got a job as a clinical assistant, and as I understand it we get to sign up for the days we want. In other words, it's not as if I've been assigned every "Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday", but I pick my schedule.

Since I'm a newbie, I was thinking of choosing the days of the week that were the least popular. Not only would it endear me to the other clinical assistants, but perhaps if I showed my willingness to take the more unpopular days, I'd develop a reputation for really putting my job ahead of everything else, if that makes sense.

Aren't Fridays-Saturdays-Sundays the most popular days? I would imagine so since there's probably people who work or go to school the other days and can only do weekends.
