I was just wondering if anyone found out about getting into Portland Community College nursing. Would like to meet people from this class. I found out a couple weeks ago.

Yep, I got an acceptance letter. I checked online on 3/20/09 and got the letter in the mail 2 days later.Disappointed since they are now part of OCNE, but no "reserved" seat to go to OHSU for the BSN.

Are they part of OCNE yet? I thought they had one more year before joining OCNE.
Congrats on your acceptance!

This is the last year. They were very clear that if we needed to take a term off for any reason we would need to reapply. Next year will be OCNE with a few different prereq requirements.

Curious Me,
Yes, in Feb 2009 they signed the contracts to become part of OCNE. It will start with next year's applications, but will not include those who start this fall.

Thanks, that's what I thought....was just confused by the statement saying they were part of OCNE, but no guaranteed seat.

I wish I was on the alternates because PCC is so much more convenient!! But I just got accepted into Mt Hood so at least I know I have something, thank God. Hoping for Clark still though!
Gosh, I missed that one!! What I meant to say was that at MHCC I get an automatic acceptance into OHSU's BSN program, without having to go through the application process.
But, at PCC, my choice would have to be Linfield.
I wanted to get my BSN from OHSU is all, even tho Linfield may be a perfectly good school, it isnt where I wanted to go.
Sorry about the confusion!

No worries, congrats on your acceptance! I'm sure Linfield is a fine school, I'm actually just finishing my first year in OHSU's OCNE curriculum and I think it's a great program.
