2011 graduate

Hi, I work at Adventist. I would not recommend working there feeling as you do. Adventist is much more then just having a "religious affiliation", it is part of our Mission statement. Each shift as we are getting our assignment we read out of a daily devotional book and have a prayer for our patients, coworkers, etc. So, everything that you have heard is true and they are a great place to work BUT you must expect caring, compassionate, spiritual type coworkers. We have weekly memos that go to employees that talk about how the Lord has worked in a remarkable way with examples in the past week which I find exhilarating. That's how it is at Adventist. I'm just not sure how you would expect in this environment to be respected for your agnostic views, which quite frankly, I can't begin to understand!

Thank you for the visual. Maybe I can get away with that when I graduate. Does it ever fall out of the holster? I'm sure it doesn't or you wouldn't be using it. I work as a CMA right now at an urgent care and after a 12 hour shift my neck sure gets sore. I ordered a Cardiology III and I can't wait to see the difference between that and my school issued cheap prestige that a career college gave me with my books a few years ago. Thanks again.

After reading your posts I'm feeling very fortunate right now. I am starting school Monday and I'm worried about clinicals and can I do this, etc. Reading your posts makes my doubts seem trivial. My school requirements are to wear Navy and press it, tie back hair, and polish my white shoes nightly. I'm feeling very lucky.

I had been trying to decide between the palm pre and the IPhone. I think I finally have decided to go with the palm due to already being a sprint customer and it is also $30 a month cheaper for full internet access and phone and messaging, etc. It is $69 where I live for 450 minutes plus all the internet and messaging I want. There is a lot of information on these boards regarding PDA's. I have spent a lot of hours reading. It sounds to me like whichever you choose you have made a good choice.

This is the last year. They were very clear that if we needed to take a term off for any reason we would need to reapply. Next year will be OCNE with a few different prereq requirements.

Hi, yes I got in this year. I have tried the PCC lottery for a few years. I knew eventually I would stack the odds in my favor with so many lottery entries. I tried to send a message on this board but it looks like I have to post 15 times to be able to do that even if I upgrade to a premium membership. Anyway ivanaBEEaRN I wanted to thank you for all of the information you have given regarding the nursing program at PCC. I had thought I might be able to continue working but after reading your posts I don't believe that will be possible because of the unique employment situation that I have.
