I will turn 44 in two weeks and in May I will complete my second semester of Nursing School. It is the best decision I have ever made and not for one minute have I thought I was too old! So I say GO FOR IT...and enjoy.

We were told by our instructors to get the latest versions of the textbooks. I priced them at Amazon and they were cheaper but the majority were older versions. I know they are expensive but sometimes it is just worth it to "Bite the bullet" and get them at the bookstore. Hopefully when it is over for us we can resell and get a little back! Good Luck:)

Not at all, I live in Arizona and am going to Mesa Community College at the Banner Boswell campus. It is about 7 minutes from my house so very convienient!

Tomorrow is Orientation!! Nursing School starts on the 25!! YEAH! I got my uniforms, stethescope, and dansko shoes they are awesome by the way super comfortable. I have been doing drug calculations to brush up on my math, (been a long time since ratio proportion), and reading fundmentals. Can't sleeep at night because I am so excited to finally be starting. It has been such a long road to get here and now that it is within reach it is so very exciting! Good luck to all Nursing Students Fall 2009!

You can do it!! I turned 43 in April and will start Nursing School in 13 days and it is the best decision I have made in my life! It means so much more to you when it has been a lifelong dream coming true. I feel the older we are the more serious we are and therefore we put a bit more effort into what we are doing and are rewarded by doing so! Don't give up, but don't keep waiting for the "right time" to start. The right time is NOW! Sign up for a couple classes and you will be amazed at how awesome it is! Good Luck

I will be starting Nursing School this fall and wondering what is the best stethescope to purchase?? I keep hearing Littman is the best but there are so many models, types, ect. to choose from. so please respond and let me know which ones you feel are the best! Thanks Teresa

Well I guess I am one of the older ones, took me a few years to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. Problem is I am grown up and finally deciding what to do. I was accepted into Nursing School yesterday afternoon after a years wait. I will turn 43 next week and graduate at age 45!! It is never too late as far as I am concerned!
