wondering how everyone does it?for an ankle; scrub around incision, then up the leg (to the knee) change sponge, start at incision again then towards the toes?? and then when lifting the leg to do under the heel, do you pick up by the toes (which can be slippery!) and for a forearm/wrist, start at incision, up the arm to the elbow, change sponge then towards the fingers? Thanks for the feedback again!!

I'm wondering the same. I see majority of people start at the incision and work their way up, toss that sponge then start at incision again and work down. I've also seen people do the toes or fingers first (toss that sponge) so that the holder (with sterile gloves) can grab while the other person starts at incision and work up, use new sponge then work down.
