Has anyone seen a skin reaction to Mastisol and Chloroprep together????? We just had one and wondered if this was more apparent in other larger hospitals??? thanks

I haven't seen this, but then again the patient goes out the door soon
after the mastisol goes on.

We've gotten quite a bit of this happening with our general surgery pts.
Marie-- are you sure it's the combo of mastisol and chloraprep and not just one or the other?

I have had several complaints of chloraprep alone causing rashes. I am continuing to monitor this situation
We get more reactions from the Chloraprep and mastisol than the chloraprep and benzoin.

We haven't noted any specific combination reactions, but we have made it policy now to remove all chloraprep following procedures using our alcohol-based hand foam...
