Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey I am currently finishing up my pre reqs at a community college and I want to apply to WSSU Spring 2017. I would like to know some feedback from those who have graduated from the traditional BSN program and how were you selected? If I made a 470 on my critical reading in the SAT (which is the minimal requirement) should I retake it? Does that even matter considering I have a good GPA of a 3.8? Science courses I have a 4.0. I just need feedback! Also I have not yet taken the Nursing class that they only offer in the spring. Does that hinder me from getting in although I have everything else done? I'm really nervous nursing is my dream and these programs get harder and harder to get into. I cry about it at times. FEEDBACK pleasssee

I would suggest talking with the chair of the nursing department or the nursing department admissions secretary. They would know more about the specific requirements for their program, each school has different standards and requirements for admission. As for taking the SAT again, if that is an acceptable score to be accepted into the university then it should be fine for the nursing department. The majority of schools make you take a nursing entrance exam such as HESI or TEAS for actual admission into their nursing programs.

Yeah I've talked with someone already. But you know when you talk to them they kind of brush you off and tell you the basics or they say "view the website" that's why I wanted feedback from someone who has attended already.
