Wagner Accerl Nursing Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys! so I recently got accepted into Wagner college's accelerated nursing program for fall 2018 and I wanted to start a forum for anyone who's applying or has already gotten accepted into the program!

I guess I'll start off by asking:

1. Where are the clinical sites?

2. What's the overall cost of the program and is there financial aid options available?

3. What's the class and clinal schedule like each semester?

4. How long is a typical semester? Are exams given every week?

Hi MuzicNurs25! My name is Tonya n I'm in your cohort! Nice to meet u. I don't know the answers to all your questions but I do know that the clinical sites are in Staten Island and there is financial aid but most people need loans in addition to it and I also do know that there are exams every week

Hey Tonya! Thanks for the info! Also about the clinical sites apparently they have a Brooklyn location at Maimonides hosp too? Hopefully the sites in Staten Island aren't too far since I'll be commuting from bk í ½í¸©. I'm crystal btw! :) Do you know how many people are usually in each cohort on avg?

Hi crystal nice to meet you! if it's easier you can email me at [email protected] :)

I have a friend who just graduated the program she never got the Brooklyn location for clinical but I'm from Brooklyn so that would be great lol where are you from

Also I made a Facebook page for our cohort just now it's called wagner accelerated second degree nursing class of 2019 if you're on Facebook

Hey MuzicNurs25, I also recently got accepted and will be commuting from Brooklyn. I'm looking for someone to possible car pool with to lower the cost of travel. In regards to your questions, clinical are held mostly in Staten Island but I heard they also branch to Brooklyn (sometimes). The overall cost of the program ranges based on if you get certain aid or scholarships. I think semesters are the length of 4 months (end of August to mid/end of December).

Hey FutureNP I'm actually in Brooklyn too but I'll be taking the bus to campus since I'm right by the Verrazano bridge which isn't that far away from campus. How long would the commute be if you were going to take public transportation?

Also thanks for the info! Hopefully I'll get the Brooklyn site for Clinicals. Apparently it's at Mammodies hospital?

Hi Guys! My name is Shannon, I will also be attending Wagner this upcoming fall. I know a few people who just graduated from the program and I'm pretty sure they did their clinical in Manhattan at Columbia. As for the total cost of the program I'm still trying to figure that out also.

Congratulations on your acceptances and I'm looking forward to meeting you in August!

Congrats guys I'm debating going this year because it's so expensive ... how are you guys paying ???

@shannonbug6895 that would be nice if Clinical's were at Columbia Presbyterian. That's a really good hospital :) yeah still haven't figured out the cost either but I know it's going to be really expecive so @temspringer I'll be taking out a whole bunch of loans í ½í¸© but either way don't worry about the money. Just look at the end goal because once you're a nurse you'll be able to pay it off sooner or later :)

That's the prob I can't get approved for

Private loans my credit is bad and I don't have a co-signer

My mom my husband and my sisters have bad credit *shaking my head*
