Nursing Students School Programs

Hello! Wondering if there's anyone on here who has applied to the spring nursing program for 2018? What are your grades and TEAS scores? Mine are:

AP1- B

AP2- B

Stats- A

Eng102- B+

Psy101-B+

TEAS-90

Great teas score. I'm going to be applying for fall '19. How did you study for teas?

Hi! I used the ATI pocket prep app (pay the $15 it's worth it!) , the mometrix study book and the ATI study book. I also bought the two practice tests from

ATI to give me a feel of what the test would be like. Science was the hardest part in my opinion - but AP1 and AP2 helped a lot...the ATI book pretty much covers the topics you'll see on the test but definitely do your own research on each topic because they're too vague in the book. I used khan academy and crash course on YouTube a lot. Also, if you do the ATI practice tests, they'll tell you what sections you need to work on. Good luck!

Thank you!! I already downloaded the pocket prep! The math problems are so hard to me, I'm trying to refresh on a lot of this stuff. I'm taking A+P 1 this upcoming semester, so hopefully that'll help with the science portion. I wish I would've take the teas to have been able to apply to Srping 18' I'm an lpn already, but I don't care which program I get into- as long as I get in.

I have

Stats -A

Eng 11 -B

Intro to lit -A

Psych - B

Western civ - A

I want to take the teas in November and apply for Fall 18'

Good luck to you! You're a shoe in with that score!

Thank you!! and good luck to you! Keep studying and I'm sure you'll do well , and A&P will definitely help you with the science. :)

Does anyone know if it is easier to get into the evening program? I did not do so well on the TEAS but I did pass, the science part is what really hurt my score. If needed I do plan to take it again in the winter before the application deadline. I have many of the pre-reqs done already but I am just wondering if I have any hope for the evening program at this point.

I asked someone from the nursing department this question and she said it's pretty much the same as the fall. Less people apply for the spring but they take a lot less so she said it evens out and you still need to score about the same on the TeAS for the spring or fall. (I think they take only 24 per campus for the spring). I got a 75.6 and didn't get in for the fall but just retook it because from what I've seen, they only accepted people who scored advanced on the TEAS for this fall.

When did you start studying after your score of 75%?

How long did it take you to get from that score to an improved one of 90%?

Thank you:-)

I got the 75 in January..right when I started A&P 2, the science is where I was struggling but taking A&P2 helped a ton because there were a lot of questions on the body systems that I didn't learn in A & P 1. I started studying again in May when I finished the class, and took it mid-July. So i studied for about 2 months. I recommend the pocket prep app, the mometrix study guide book and the ATI teas study manual. I studied for about 1-2 hours a day.

Thanks so much and yes that's how I feel to it had alot of questions on systems that I didn't know yet.. if you don't mind me asking did you do better the second time after A&P2 & did you feel that A&P2 really helped prep you? I start A&P2 next week:)

Yes 100% I feel like the majority of science questions were from ap2. I had an awesome professor for ap2 and learned so much. Who are you taking?

Hi does anyone know when or what month is the release of the result?

I got proficient on my first and second ATI =( so I don't know if my effort will give me a chance to get accepted. The first one was because I ran out of time in Math and I got 60+ but got 80+ in Science, both 70s in English and Language. And on the second try, I tried to finish my math and got 80+ but 60+ in Science (Seriously!). And now, I don't know what my chances are.

Also, I am taking AP1 now at SCCC and I purchased the Connect Access card. Are they going to give the link on the first day of class? I emailed the professor but he said he doesn't have the link yet and I really want to read before the school starts. Another concern was I already scratched off the back now I won't be able to return it (too excited to open it).
