San Joaquin Delta College Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just want to start this thread for students who are applying for the nursing program at SJDC this Spring 2018. We can share some information or ask questions while going through this process. I actually finish all my pre-requisite classes at Delta and now I will be applying with 64 points.

Hey kringbear! Congrats on applying! I finally submitted my application tonight. Was waiting to get a response to a question about the application, but with only two days left to apply I decided to just do it rather than wait any longer for an answer. Fingers crossed for us!

Hi Cab12! What question do you have about the application? If you don't mind, what is your total points?

Well, long story, lol. Basically I retook micro (first I took intro to med micro a few years ago then I took General micro this last spring). I wanted to know if I had to include the medical micro on the second part of sciences that it asks for "other attempts". I wasn't sure if it was only for grades D,F or W. I emailed twice and called. After no response and reading it again, I went ahead and reported the intro to med micro grade just to be safe.

I have 74.5 (if my calculations are correct but I've calculated about 100 times! Lol). I've applied in the past with much less points. I'm praying that my 74.5 will be what I need this time because I'm starting to lose hope!

Oh okay, I think you'll be fine for not putting the Gen Micro. You have a great chance of getting in. I had friends who got in from the past 2 semesters having around 65 points. But what the counselor told me it's better to aim for 70 and above. So we will know the result next Tuesday right? Sept 26?

Well I put my General micro grade on the pre-Reqs section, the one for the points. I put the other one on the section for all other attempts. We will see! Your info makes me a little more hopeful! I sure hope anyway! I haven't seen anything about when we find out. I know that first they will either tell you that you weren't chosen or they will ask for supporting documents. After you submit documents THEN you find out if you're accepted, on the wait list, or not accepted.

Got the confirmation e-mail. You're correct, the 26th. I wouldn't be surprised if that date changes though lol

Do you think we will know by November if we get in or not after submitting the documents and going through all the process? It sounds like a long wait lol making me more nervous. Have you applied on other schools?

I've always followed these threads (never wrote in any) and ya, November seems about right. Such a long and nerve racking process! I've applied to Modesto, but their points add up a little differently so I didn't have as many. How about you?

Same here. I was searching about nursing and looking for some threads and I came across on this website. I used it as a reference on how people went through the process and how many points they had on the previous semester. It's really helpful tho. I'm about to apply in Stanislaus but I know I don't have any chance there lol I just wanna try. Is this your second time applying at Delta?

Honestly I've lost count. But it's my first time with my new micro grade and my new TEAS version score.

Hi all the application is closed now. I applied with 73 points. The 26th of September needs to hurry up to see if we can submit documents! I'm crossing my fingers this is my first time applying to the program! Wish you all the best of luck.
