Georgia State Perimeter College Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just applied to GPC's nursing school for fall 2018 acceptance. Wondering who else has applied?

What other places did you apply that accepts the teas exam

What other places did you apply that accepts the teas exam

All GSU programs. I retook the teas after applying at gpc. I applied at Kennesaw, Mercer and I took the hesi to apply to brenau

Forgot to mention Emory. But emory is so unrealistic and competitive I often forget that I applied there lol

Sheesh It looks like they denied everyone this year lol. It seems like prior years had lower stats than us and still got in. Oh well. I'm looking at applying to Chattahoochee Tech and GSU main.

Also, I wonder exactly how they look at some of the science GPA. For ex. If someone has only taken AP1 and earned an A, they'll have a science GPA of 4.0 vs someone else who may have taken all of their sciences and may have a 3.5. I wonder do they take those things into account.

I am going to be declining my spot because I'll be going elsewhere. I hope one of you gets it!

3.1GPA, A's in all pre-req's, 89.3 TEAS

HOWEVER, I just got an acceptance to Clayton State's BSN program so I'm relieved now.

Congrats. What did you get on Clayton's Kaplan exam?

Me 2. I got denied. But that's ok this is why I applied at several places. Congrats to those who did get in!

Just wanted to update for all future denied students like myself.

DO NOT GIVE UP!! THIS IS NOT THE END

This reject just got accepted into Mercers BSN program. GPC nursing program can kick rocks (JK its a great program and everyone who got accepted should be proud esp since they get upwards of 800 applications!!)

but seriously dont give up

Same here, rejected from GPC but accepted to Clayton State. I think the ASN programs are getting an insane amount of applicants since they take less time to complete and credit hours are less per semester. I also applied at Chattahoochee where you had to attend one of six application sessions. The one I attended had at least 100 people in it. I wouldn't be surprised if they had 300+ total apply. Just something to think about. At that information session, even Chattahoochee states you shouldn't stop at ASN and should bridge to BSN since it opens more opportunities. If you didn't get into an ASN program, definitely try BSN. I have a feeling right now there is just a better chance to get in them.

Right!?! I felt sooooo discouraged after I was denied. I'm glad I persevered and kept on as if I got accepted by the other programs.

Congratulations on getting accepted into Clayton state! I wish I had looked into their program too but I didn't until after the deadline :(

I'm glad u commented tho cuz I went back and read past threads and all the rejected ppl sounded hopeless. So now we are proof that there is hope.

Is there a FB group or something already in place for those of us that got in? It would be nice to get to know each other and share whatever info we have instead of having to email Mrs. Creel all the time!! :)
