Essex County College Nursing Program

Nursing Students School Programs

I would like to know from students who got into the nursing program at essex county college how was your journey there, average GPA and credential. Spring 2015 I am finishing my last pre requisite classes before I can apply to the program, and I would like to know from students who got accept or who didn't what their experience was. I hear the program is very hard to get into, but haven't spoken to anyone who has actually been accepted or completed the program.

I think you'll get more responses if you post this in one of the Student forums: Pre-Nursing, or General Student.

Good luck!

Did you ever get accepted if you applied in 2015.

Hey! I will be starting the nursing program at Essex County College this fall 2015 (next week). This may be late, but I figured I'd write a comment being that when I was searching around for answers, I didn't find much "recent" feedback on ECC. When I applied into the program my GPA was 3.4 and I had all my pre reqs completed. Having your pre reqs done is the first to even being accepted to take the entrance exam. The second step is taking the TEAS V exam and its no joke. I work both full time and part time jobs and I really had to commit to studying for this exam. Study WAYYYYYY in advance. The teas plays a big part on the overall ranking. It's a hard exam, but I promise you its NOT impossible to pass. I got a 70... nope nothing great... but enough to boost your overall ranking up to get accepted to the RN program. I hope this helps!

I applied to the LPN to RN articulation and I recently took my teas today, the exam was very hard, I didn't get the required passing score, but I heard from people who got accepted with 59%, the chance for me to get accepted depend on how many studends passed and how many students they need, I also heard that the articulation program have much less student who applied. I'll keep my finger crossed. I study 12hrs a day for 2wks for that test, I feel devastated. Some questions, I just didn't understand the way they asked them, plus there's was no time to answer all these questions. I have a 3.4 GPA.
