CCGA BSN Program Question

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys!

So, I just submitted both my ASN and BSN applications to the College of Coastal Georgia for the Fall 2016 semester. I just would like everyone's honest opinion on if I have any chance of getting in-my GPA isn't the best-a 3.23, and my overall HESI score is an 88.4% (92% bio, 80% A&P, 88% math, 92% reading comprehension, and 90% vocabulary). I have gotten all As and Bs in my sciences, except for a C in microbiology. I would prefer to get into the BSN over the ASN, but my advisor said to apply to both, so I would have a better chance of getting in. Any of your opinions or advice would be much appreciated! Thank you ☺️

I would say your chances are very good. Those scores are pretty good and I wouldn't stress over one C especially if the rest are As. I'm in my final semester here at CCGA's BSN program and I got in with having failed A&P 1 the first time I took it years ago. Now granted I got an A in it when I retook it before applying. So relax. You're going to love Ms. Chambers and Ms. Masano and Dr. Z and from what I know of Ms. Sandberg (she's pretty new) she seems sweet as sugar first semester but I like all of the professors and you'll have a busy 2 years in the program.

Thank you so much for your reply! I actually just got my BSN acceptance letter in the mail yesterday :) I can't wait to start the program in the fall!

Congrats on your acceptance! I recently applied and am waiting to hear back! Do you happen to know when orientation is?

Thank you so much :) I'm not sure when orientation is yet, they didn't say a specific date in the acceptance letter.

Best of luck at getting in! Hope to see you in the fall :)

Hope so too! I'll be new to the Brunswick area so do you suggest any apartments that or near or close by?

Congratulations! I received my acceptance letter as well. I know we will do great.

Oh congrats on getting in.... I just recently submitted my application for the BSN program... It took a minute because I was waiting to officially be accepted to the college.. I already have both a bachelors and a masters degree in health fields...

However I am still very nervous.... I still have 1 prerequisite to take.... Which is human growth and development and my AP 1 is more than 5 years old.... I spoke with the advisor and she said I could take human growth in the summer.... So we'll see...

How long did it take for you to get your acceptance letter?? Was it a big package or small... Just so I'll be prepared... í ½í¸„...

Thank you so much! It took about 3 and a half weeks to get my acceptance letter. It's a normal sized letter, but mine was very thick because all of the forms that were in there. Good luck at getting in! I hope to see you in the Fall :)

Thank you so much. Congrats to you as well! And yes, I'm sure we will :)

Well, I live in Darien which is about 20 mins from CCGA, so I'm not super familiar with apartments in Brunswick. But I've heard that the Legacy Apartments and Palm Cove Apartments (both in Brunswick) were nice and pretty affordable. Hope that helps! (:

That's amazing what do you have your masters in? I have a bachelor of health science degree in public health. My letter took a little longer. It took about 5 weeks before I got a letter in the mail. It was also a normal size letter that was thick with papers to fill out.
