Carrington College Reno 2016

Is there anyone out there applying to Carrington Reno for May 2016? I am retaking the Kaplan on Monday and hoping that I get in. Any advice on the test? Anyone care to share their scores? I passed on my first try but I want a higher score. I heard some people were getting perfect scores and then another person from Carrington top me if you get a high 80 you should be ok. I am so nervous!!

Yes I got a 243 which is 81 percent, I know someone last semester who got in with the same score but it all varies on what the pool of applicants score! I'm so nervous I have heard so many different things from so many people!

That's a good score! I'm sure you'll get in. And same I've heard so many different things. And there isn't much info online in regards to average scores etc.

I know its really frustrating its so nerve racking. But I hope so! You have to let me know what you get on your second try! My writing score was my lowest, I would study grammar or look up different English practice test!

Mine was too!! I was so surprised because I've always been a decent writer. I saw that most people recommend the GED language arts book to study for the writing section. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the book right now. I got a 95% on reading so I figured I'd just study math and writing. I need to brush up a bit more on math before Monday. Regardless of all this studying, my nerves are really killing me. I will let you know if I do better Monday!

Hey @khaugen94 - Do you remember there being any remainder questions on the math section? I can't remember for the life of me. They are questions like "D is divided by 15 the result is 6 remainder 2. What is the remainder when D is divided by 6"??

Yes there where about 3 or 4 questions like that!

Not so good. I raised math to an 89 but did worse on writing. Not sure how one does worse on writing after reading the entire GED language arts book cover to cover lol. Doesn't look like I'll make it this round best of luck to you!

What percent did you get on each though cause I got 96 on math 86 on writing and 67 on writing which isn't that good and got a 243, don't give up yet!

I got a 95 reading, 89 math, and a 57 in writing last time I got a 67 in writing. So I think bc I technically failed the writing section they can't use my score. I don't really know for sure but I'm pretty bummed out.
