Hello all!

I have recently applied to the Bon Secours college of nursing for the Fall of 2017. Was wondering if there was anyone out there who can join the waiting game with me! Any updates or any info regarding the process or if you get in would be awesome! Just wanted to open a forum for hopefuls and in the process of waiting! Fingers crossed!

How's it goin! I also applied for Fall 2017 entry and am anxiously awaiting the decision...

Hello! I'm anxiously waiting too, since the decision notification got pushed back!

I was told the decision notification will be early May. Is that correct?

Yes. They are meeting on May 4th in the afternoon. We should know by May 5th!

Great, thanks for that info! How do you feel about your chances for admission? What are your applicant stats? I'm nervous as can be and ready for the decision! I'm Branden by the way :)

Oh wow yes, they told me they were going to meet early in the first week of May! I am SO nervous! How do you feel so far? What are everyones STATs applying?

Hello! I also applied to the Bon Secours fall 2017 BSN program and am anxiously awaiting the decision. How did y'all hear that the decision notification got pushed back? On the website under the FAQ page it says they will give us the decision about 6 weeks after our application deadline of March 1st.

I found out that the committee was meeting in early May because I contacted the admissions representative, Maria Vasquez. I was specifically told early May.

Hey Branden! I'm Bianca! I honestly don't know my chances. I have my bachelors in something other from VCU and have a 3.3 (so not that great). I work at Bon Secours as a PCT and a certified medical interpreter. How do you feel so far? It's very close! I hope well all get in :)!

Hey Bianca! You sound like a solid applicant. I feel as if my chances are pretty good, but I'm also unsure. I have my Associates in Science and my Bachelors from VCU in Health Science. I've been an EMT since I was sixteen, I'm a former CNA, and I've worked as an EMT/PCT at Bon Secours' free-standing ED for four years now.....among other things. In terms of GPA, I graduated with a 3.56 GPA at VCU, 3.7 GPA at JSRCC. I also took a few classes at John Tyler, so my GPA there is a 4.0 GPA. I'm currently a member of nationally recognized honor society and my essays are rock solid, but I have a tumultuous academic past at a previous private college so I'm not sure if that will hinder my chances or work in my favor. I've also applied for several Accelerated BSN programs in VA. My primary choice would be Bon Secours but who knows what's going to happen at this point. The entire department is pulling for me and I'm ready for my decision! Nursing is my passion and purpose in life :)

Oh my goodness! You are almost guaranteed acceptance in my opinion! Yes it's all a bit nerve wracking to be sure! Did you write about your academic past in your essays? Also does anyone know how many people they are accepting this semester?
