until I have done my part. I am really getting frustrated trying to find information on nursing management for soft tissue sarcoma. I have a subscription to a scholarly database, and have also searched the internet using many combinations of key words. Can anyone help me with this? I don't have access to an oncology-specific nursing book, but need to find the basics for nursing management for this type of cancer. If anyone knows which direction to point me in I would sure appreciate it! I've spent probably 4+ hours searching the internet with no results.

Thanks so much!

I just plugged in "soft tissue sarcomas, nursing care of" in Google Search engine and came up with tons of things.

Not sure where you were looking but there is more than enough there for you. Adults as well as children included.

I just went back and put in those exact terms. The first 3 hits I got were articles that had nothing to do with nursing care, and the third article was a PubMed article I had to pay to access. The next hit was one for a patient having surgery for soft tissue sarcoma, and the following 10 hits were only info about sarcoma, but had nothing to do with the nurses role. I've seen most of these links (and many more on the following pages of hits that particular search got) and looked through a bunch of them and still can't find anything specific to how the nurse cares for this patient. What the focus is in care, assessment, things to watch for. Does that make sense what I am trying to find? I've seriously looked at close to 75 websites today alone, and everything is either patient oriented, or just general info on what the disease is. I have all that info - but need to know more of the nursing care.

adria! Thank you so, so much!!! This has been more helpful than anything =). I can't believe how hard it has been to find stuff like this. I also have access to OVID (through my school). This is a project I am doing and we are making a book to leave at the oncology unit for use by staff/patients. I really want to thank you for these websites.
