I don't know the answer to your question, but can give you the websites for the local hospitals so maybe you could find out.

St. Johns http://www.sjmc.com

Saint Francis http://saintfrancis.com/

Hillcrest http://www.hillcrest.com/hhs/

Tulsa Regional http://www.tulsaregional.com/

SouthCrest http://www.southcresthospital.com/default

there's also Cancer Treatment Centers and Orthopedic Hospital, but I think they both only hire RNs. I'm also going to graduate with my LPN next spring. If you're interested, Tulsa Community College offers a LPN-RN program that can be completed in 2-3 semesters (depending on if you clep a couple of classes and if you already have all the prereqs.) I'm probably going to do it next fall.

I just applied at St. Francis and they pay relocation for a move of over 75miles for RNs. I don't know about LPNs, but I think I saw it on their website under their general job information so they probably do.

Well welcome back anyway! If you decide to apply at St Johns let me know - I'll split the nurse referral bonus with ya! They don't have a lot of job postings for LPNs but I'm told that often if you talk to the manager of certain floors they will still hire you. They usually have LPN openings in home health or hospice and Franciscan Villas assisted living (or nursing home?) They also are about to open a hospital in Owasso.

I've only been at SJMC for 2 weeks but I love it already and am very impressed with most of the nurses I work with.

hi lana ty for the welcome i also love saint johns i worked there as an aide thru an agency and i always loved it... what do they start a nurse out at?? approxmiately?? i also was considering the va in claremore u wouldnt happen to know the web site for them would u? just try to figure all my options... cant wait to get home !!!!!!

oh and congrats on the new job :balloons:

I think new LPNs start around $13/hour at SJMC, but I don't remember. Sorry. I know they've got a good tuition reimbursement plan though, which I plan to use!

As for the VA....try this http://www.ok.gov/ODVA/Veterans_Centers/Claremore.html

there's also the Indian hospital in Claremore http://www.ihs.gov/

FYI Tulsa Regional is looking for lots of LPN's they are going back to team nursing. we had a recruiter at our school last monday.
