Biology? Chemistry? Help!

Nursing Students Ohio University

I was searching through Ohio's course requirements and saw that instead of 2 anat and physiology you need 1 anat and 1 biology course..does this seem right? I was also looking at my transcripts the other day and saw that my chem course I took way back when was a continuing education credit and not a normal credit...what do you think will happen when they look into that course? I may just be looking into things way too much. I can't even find the source on my laptop that I did on my kindle for the changes w/ biology. Could anyone help clear this up? Thanks in advance!

the school just may list the phys as a biology class-read the class info to see what that bio class is. If you didn't get college credits for the chem, you will prob have to retake it-I know many schools will also require their sciences to be within 'x' amount of years old-go and ask them about the chem.

good luck!

I would give the school a call and ask to talk with an advisor - they have the final say. If you do have to repeat - use Educan.org - community college system of Kansas. I was worried that I would have to repeat my initial A&P course that I took back in the stoneage so I looked around to find fast and cheap. Didn't end up having to repeat for OU - thankfully!!

Thanks guys!! I really appreciate your input. I will def be calling to check about the chem class. :bowingpur

I also have to take chemistry and micro. I saw some comments about Weber College on allnurses. I plan to check that one out too. I think it's 15 weeks online. I trying to wait until the end for those......simply DREAD it! My advisor sais some have taken chemistry (so I assume bio would do also) at Oregon State online.

Thank-you!! Michelemybell!! I will also be looking into those.. I DREAD DOING CHEM AGAIN!! HARD CLASS! AHHHHH:banghead:

My advisor said the same thing about Oregon State and that it was acceptable since it had lab but that it was expensive. She did say that Microbiology does NOT have to have a lab which is great!!

I have not decided yet on the Chem. I have to decide which is more important. Going to class after working the night prior and paying less than 400 or paying 1200+ for the convienence of not having to sit in class but dedication more time. I dont know but it makes me tired thinking about it

I went to brick and mortar school for all the chem's-hard working nights but valuable being in person and having study groups with peers. I am have taken many online classes! did pathophys and pharm that way too, but for chems, I needed live. you can do it either way! save that money!
