I am from michigan and I will be attending the night and weekend program at mercy and I am so nervous ! I don't know what to expect I've already completed a&p 1-2,patho,nutrition,micro,psy,comp 1 at BAker College so I'm believe I will out be taking the actual nursing classes majority of the semesters. Even so I wish I knew some info so I can prepare over the summer. I am moving out there and I'm not going to lie I'm scared I will have problems balancing being a single mother, school, and work. Any tips ?

Kaidyn,

Congratulations! I'm from michigan and will be attending the information session this Thursday. I don't have the biology algebra or chemistry class complete yet but I'll be attending macomb cc thus fall. Was it hard getting into the program for weekend/evenings? I would be commuting because I work in downtown Detroit, but I really want to attend Mercy!

Thank you! To me it was easier then getting into a program in michigan.I go to BAker college which I love but it's only 18-20 spots in the program and over 100 people applying. I did well in my health science classes except chemistry kicked my butt,I almost didn't pass! I was advised to take as my classes as I could before I transferred to lighten the load and financially it's cheaper. I've heard many good things about mercy so I'm praying I will do well.

I see they still have openings for fall....I want to do as many pre-reqs as I can. How many semesters do u have to go since u have the pre-reqs complete?

Not sure because I haven't met with the advisor and seen my schedule yet but I believe it shaved a the first year of the program. I wil find out for sure soon and I will post it.
