Accelerated BSN: Kent or Akron?

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hi everyone,

I am glad that I found this site!

I have two degrees...but I would love to get a BSN (something I should've done a long time ago!) For that reason, I would like to go the accelerated route. Due to my location, I would like to apply to Kent State or the University of Akron's Accelerated BSN cohorts for the summer of 2009. Cleveland is a bit far for my commute.

Has anyone graduated from either program? If not, has anyone heard of anything I should know!

The only differences I see are that Kent requires less prereqs (Akron has 8 courses to Kent's 4) and is more expensive.

Thanks in advance!:D

just wanted to make sure you were aware of MedCentral College of Nursing accelerated program in Mansfield - I graduated from their 2nd accelerated class 2 years ago and felt very well prepared for boards and for practice - great faculty, stringent clinicals, but relaxed atmosphere

good luck with school regardless of where you apply

Thanks sfberic! I never heard of that school before.

I am glad that you came out well-prepared with your accelerated program.

Thanks for the good luck wish!:D
