I've heard this, but not very much

Do WHNPS round in hospitals? Can they help/assist in the antepartum and postpartum care of patients? (especially if CNMs are not on staff). How often is this utilized and is it subjective practice to practice and what that particular practice wants to train you for/on or like you to do?

If you have heard of this, what do those NPs do?

I've seen WHNPs work on GYN surgical units though and function like a PA.

How can a WHNP assist in C-sections like a PA can? What are the required certifications for that? RNFA or something else?

You can round in hosp if you work with a particular dr to see their pts, very few hosp use them on the units. It is very political and if you can get a dr to let you do rounds it is very difficult to get priv. At the hospitals and then very hard to keep them with the OB committe.You can do c/a as an RNFA, and again very political and it is difficult to get paid for that skill, either the dra want to bill for you and they make the profit from your service they never want to pay you what you get paid from the insurance that is if you can even get paid from the insurances. They make every excuse not to pay you. As far as I am concerned it was worthless training for me
