Hi everyone!
I just posted this same query on the general discussion boards...Could you please check it out and let me know what you think? I have to make a decision today about whether or not to leave my current unit as the nurse manager of a local hospital called and asked me to come on.....Would appreciate your suggestions and thoughts...Please!

AFTER being at the same job for 9 years, im leaving to go to nursing school.....change is good. scary as h*ll, but good. just follow your heart, really. only you know what to do. your intuition never lies, and you always second guess it, but don't. follow your gut feeling....thats my advice!! good luck whatever you do.

basically it boils down to, What do you want to do
Gosh, I don't actually KNOW what I want to do, but having said that, I just called the nurse manager and she is HAPPY to have me come on board! I am so excited and glad that I made the call....She sounds so supportive and eager to have me. I did speak with her in September and she was interested then...Very supportive, unlike my current situation, so, I think I am going to GO for it..Thankyou SO much for all your input, and I will keep you posted. Now I just have to pass a med test ( we worry about the most mundane things...) I feel MUCH better having told the new nurse manager I am interested in going......
