Trust vs Mistrust Dilemma

Hello! first time here, I am a nursing student and I am currently working on my Neonatal care-plan. I am having trouble with my Erikson stage of Trust vs Mistrust, and I might be answering my own question but some constructive criticism is greatly encouraged and appreciated.

My care-plan is on a 5 day old full term baby, on an orogastic tube feeding, 2LNC on 21% FiO2 with hypotonia, in an isolette. He develops trust because he is receiving his feedings at appropriate intervals, is monitored for diaper changes (Line turns blue in diaper), he is not held or rocked so that can develop to mistrust. I am leaning towards trust because he has what he needs minus the closeness of affection with a caregiver and his mother only comes for about 2 hours out of the day. Am I headed in the right direction? please help, thank you all.

How will you measure if the baby has developed trust/mistrust?

How will you measure if the baby has developed trust/mistrust?

I think it would be more of a teaching. Or measurable by crying, or anxiousness...?

Teaching who? What?

Teaching who? What?

The baby, that there will be someone there, it be it a caregiver, nurse, or mom, that if they need to be feed or changed or any essential he/she can trust someone will be there.
