Plavix and Aspirin

Hello all

Can somebody please explain me what is the difference between the actions of Plavix and Aspirin (as anti-platelet)?

The way I understand is that aspirin works on already formed clots. And the Plavix prevents the clots from forming.

Please help, I'm confused

You need to look in your pharmacology book for a more comprehensive explanation. What you have here, probably from someone who just told you in passing, is very inadequate and would not pass muster even for low-level patient teaching, because it isn't accurate.

When you have done that, come back and tell us what you learned, and ask us for clarification on any parts of it you don't understand. :)
