Make up duty

Nursing Students Student Assist

Published

Hi I am currently a Nursing student in Manila. During my duty day last sem, I was considered absent by my clinical instructor even though I was able to report inside the 15 min grace period. Now my enrollment is on hold for 2nd sem and because our policy is 1 absent : 3 make up duty, I am burdened by the expenses. I would like to ask your opinion since the fee being imposed is 350/hr x 8 hours divided by the number of students (in our case 6) for 3 days take note that this is tax free. I already insisted that we were not late but the coordinator wont hear us given i have picture of our time reported that day. It also burdens me because technically we have no duty to make up since we still did our duty that day. I need immedite help because in reality, money is money considering how high the tuition is already.

Sorry, but not exactly sure what advice you are hoping for... You admit that you were late, but you insist that you were within the "grace period," but the program insists that you were not and therefor counted it as an absence. You appealed this decision and presented the evidence that you have. They still decided that you were late and the day would be deemed an absence.

Seems at this point is to either pay the fee and make up the hours that the program requires OR not return to this program.
