Stethoscope: Littmann cardiology III vs. Littmann master cardiology - Page 3
Register Today!- Jan 23, '08 by nursemikeI have a Cardiology III is just bought to replace a Classic II SE that I must have misplaced (it was getting pretty beaten up, anyway.) My unit gets a few peds admits, although they tend to be bigger kids and an adult scope has usually worked okay.
I also have an Ultrascope. I don't love it. As advertised, I can hear breath sounds through seven layers--well, three, but I tried it out through my leather jacket and a sweater, and it does okay through sheets, gowns, and even a blanket. Impressive, but the acrylic head is like carrying a doorknob around, and I can hear my own breath on the tubing if I'm not real careful.
I've borrowed the Master Cardiology and it is really nice. So is the Cardio III. - May 14, '10 by Viola000Thank you so much for all of the great input. I've been deliberating, but all of the comments have really pointed me in the right direction!

It is the best that i have ever had. It also comes with a pediatric attachment which is kinda neat.
Check out the reviews of it on amazon, that's why I chose it.

3M Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope
I think you have to buy the pediatric attachment separately, mine didn't come with it. It is a great stethoscope though and I also recommend it. A bit pricey but worth the money if you want one that is going to last. - Jun 3, '12 by SoupysoupI just got my Master Cardiology in the mail. I was so excited waiting for it that I made a cozy! I had a hard time getting a decent deal in Canada, but after some shopping around I picked it up for around $250. All of the good deals won't ship to Canada it seems.
- Aug 13, '12 by StethkingI say the best is the Littmann Cardi iii. It lasts longer, is good quality and you will hear all murmurs and crackles including the slightest. Or you can get a cheap non brand one and then it breaks in a few months. best stethoscope for doctorsLast edit by Stethking on Aug 13, '12 : Reason: spelling
