Who can recommend a decent pair of shoes that won't kill my feet after standing/walking all night?

I had Dansko's, but found them too heavy. Love my Birkenstocks! Sometimes I forget I have shoes on. Also, socks with as much cotton content as you acn find. Much more comfy.....

Birkenstock Londons.... Well worth the cost, and they can be resoled. I've found the leather scuffs up a bit, but polish fixes that problem. And they do have a lot of toe room - probably too much, since I've been called 'Mickey Mouse' by co-workers and patients alike! (that is, until they tried the shoes on for themselves!) My feet are never sore after a 12 hours shift, and I'd always had problems with achy heels prior to these shoes.
Nursemates - Oy..... Has anyone ever found a pair of these that actually felt good on their feet?
