Can you try to find another one? It is not like you are registered for it. In the past it was part of registration and it cost another unit. This was before my time. That is a waste to go to school in the middle of the day for 2 hours. You should be able to switch to another time slot if there are less than 10 people.

By the way what street are you on in Las Cumbres? And do you live in La Cumbre I?
Well I spoke with the one who handles all of it...she's at the end of the nursing department on the left, first name initials are A.M. Initially she said I could not switch because of whatever reason. Maybe i'll try asking her again. Kuz yah, its in the middle of the day and its a bummer. As for Las Cumbres, i'm not sure if I live in La Cumbre I???????? i think I do????? lol sorry! As soon as you walk into Las Cumbres from school, its like the second block on the left where you can turn in to which is Calle Robles. I "technically" live on Calle Robles because thats the address, but the landlord made the house into a bunch of little studios so I actually live on the street behind calle robles. like i said though, since the property is considered on calle robles thats technically my address. Its hard to explain. Right in front of my little studio is a little park with a little playground and stuff. Not sure if you know what i'm talking about. lol. I live with my lover boy

Quick question how much do you as students pay for rent how much did it cost to ship your goods and car there. I'm not to worry about financial aid since I will have my g.i bill from the military. Do you think it will be reasonable to find a place for $500 month security gated community? Also that christan class will a bible class work also did all of u guys take spanish 1 and 2 before applying how long did it take to look at transripts?
I looked into a few places and it seems to cost about $1000 (or just under) to ship a car from the East coast. I heard taxes are a killer though. I think the taxes are based on the value of the car. One guy said some cars have 2-3k in taxes alone. So it may be better just to get a vehicle there.

[quote=pearlgirl52508;5522471]For a Studio with Electricity and Water in La Cumbre (which is a short talk to school to Interamericana) only costs me $395.00. and La Cumbre is in a gated community. But, as I was told before, the gated communities here are not what you will be used to back in the states. yet, its very safe I actually really like my studio and my neighborhood. Its really quiet and being that I am a girl, I feel safe living there and walking at night to and from.

I'm also interested in a gated community close to the school. Are places like this readily available, or are they hard to find? That sounds like a great deal!

You are close to where I used to live. I used to live on Calle Montebello but the same senario. The actual apartment was on Calle Las Lomas.

I would talk to Miss Y up front. And if you are available and it is available get the Wed class from 5 PM to 7:30. The tutor is awesome. She is in my class and is a very good student.

I met a guy last weekend that just started the accelerated program and he shipped his Scion xB from AZ. He said with taxes it cost 3,700 USD to ship here. I thought he was insane but he said he will make the money back when he sells it. Cars here are extremely expensive because import taxes are so expensive. He figured he will make the money back when he sells it. I thought it was quite silly.

next to school. There are ALWAYS places to rent here. I think La Cumbre I is the best.

A ton of students live in La Cumbre. And there are 4 of them right next to school. There are ALWAYS places to rent here. I think La Cumbre I is the best. It is the closest to school and I think a tab bit nicer than the others. But the others are only 1/4 to 1/2 a mile from La Cumbre I.

395 sounds ultra cheap. Most people I know pay around 500 with utilities included but of course you can always hunt to find cheaper.

Hey guys, when does registration open for next trimester?
It really varies. But it is always a week or two or three BEFORE the nursing dept says it is. No one really knows and then all of a sudden everyone is registering. It seems like it is about half way through the previous trimester.

Ok thnx...one more question. Do we have to go through the whole registration process of going to Dr. A and then going to admissions with the form every trimester? Or can we register online for our nursing classes on our own?

You eventually have to have Miss Y sign the form. I think Dr A was just helping out because there were so many people. Dr A is usually only a back up.

You can register online but you will still need to get the paper version signed. Also there are some circumstances were the Inter Web system will not let you register. For example if you owe any money at all. Even if you get financial aid I think the payments are dispersed at different times and maybe all the payments have not gone through before registration time. Don't quote me on that because I don't get finincial aid. But there were various reasons why some people were not able to register online.

Help from anyone is highly appreciated. I applied to Interamerican Univ. Metro campus and am currently waiting on my letter of acceptance (or rejection). What are my chances of being accepted into the school for the English Trimester in November? I have had secondary education in the states i was a few classes short of earning my AA but im committed to earning my BSN so i dont want to continue my education in the states if im eventually going to be moving to puerto rico. It would save me tons of money and either way there are no prerequisites to be done for Inter. My college GPA is a 3.2 .

You'll get in. Everyone gets in. Especially if you are not concerned about being in the accelerated program or not. I am not sure the exact qualifications if you are not a second degree student, but if you're not too concerned about that part, you've got nothing to worry about. I wouldn't wait around for the acceptance letter because who knows when that will show up. I don't think I got mine until AFTER I registered for classes. I don't know when registration starts for Nov. (seems like they enjoy surprising the students with it), but you probably want to call frequently to find out. I don't know of anyone starting in Nov. but I don't see why one couldn't. Welcome to the program, consider yourself accepted. LOL
