Can I use the same location for two IM injections and how far apart?

I have a 1ml Testosterone IM injection and a 1ml B12 IM injection to give monthly to a patient. I have been injecting both into one deltoid muscle, about 2 inches apart from each other. Is this okay in order to avoid having two sore arms? The patient is 45years old and obese, at 350lbs, and has very thick arms.

Are the medications compatible together? Often to spare the patient the experience and discomfort of being stuck with a needle twice we mix together the two medications and inject as one IM. Call pharmacy and see if this can be done!
